Various events to promote international understanding are held.
International Salon, Japanese Language Program for non-native speakers, Traditional Japanese Culture Program for Non-natives, Understanding Asia Lectures, Koto Lessons for Non-natives


Creating a city of people who can relate to the world and multi-cultural harmony

Various exchange events and programs are held to support non-native residents.
Foreign Language Volunteer Program, Otasukeman Volunteer Program, Otasukeman Neighborhood Network, International Student Support:Providing bicycles to international students,
participating in the Matsuyama Sister City Fair, participating in the Coms Festival, working with local international exchange groups and organizations.


Meeting person to person, valuing encounters!

To broaden our world, the sister city programs, languageand homestay programs all promote international exchange through people to people encounters.
Goodwill activities with Sister Cities (Sacramento, U.S.A., Freiburg, Germany), and our Friendship City (………South Korea), Sister City Student Exchange Scholarships between Matsuyama and Freiburg, Issuing Sister City 'Passports', welcoming delegations from places other than our sister and friendship cities, language study sessions, homestay and homevisit programs
